Living Below the Line then Helping Heroes

For five days this week I’ve been taking part in the Live Below The Line challenge, the final day of this is tomorrow which means I can finally start eating normally on Saturday. Only catch is a few months ago I also signed up to volunteer for Help For Heroes which just happens to be Saturday! This means I will be spending 9 hours stood in ASDA watching other people buy food while I don’t eat and instead raise money!

These days are always great fun, I did both of the collection drives they did last year and they were both successful, we got to meet lots of interesting people and raised a lot of money for this great charity. I can’t say I’m relishing an extra day of hunger though!

It’ll all be worth it though and I’m really glad that I’m sticking to my guns with my New Years resolution to do more for charity. It really does feel good to do something, albeit not much, to help others.

You can donate to Help For Heroes by visiting your local ASDA on Saturday or Sunday this week (I’ll be at Bristol Longwell Green on Saturday 8.30am-6pm if you want to say ‘Hi’) or by going here…
